In order to begin your barbering career you must first find a school. Georgia has a number of beauty and cosmetology schools that offer barbering programs. A quick online search returns several online directories that list institutions that have barbering certification courses. In order to receive a license, one must complete a barbering program at an accredited GA school and pass a written and practical exam. Also, in order to take the final exam, you must have a minimum of 1,500 hours of training. If you would rather not go to school to become a barber than you can also serve as an apprentice in a shop.
